Marisett Organics and Maple Brae Farms

Brian and Leslie Marisett along with sons Jacob and Yuri operate a Certified Organic market garden “Marisett Organics” together with Brian’s parents Ken and Joan Marisett on their farm “Maple Brae Farms”.

The bulk of the farm has been chemical free since 1997 and was certified organic in the year 2000.
Currently  Pro Cert certified to grow the following market garden crops for the year 2010: Asparagus, black berries, fresh market beans, dried beans, rhubarb, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, leeks, garlic, flax, cucumbers, potatoes, ground cherries, squash, pumpkin, gladiolus, shallots, radicchio, radish, turnip, rutabaga, brussel sprout, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, peas, melons, peppers, egg plant, okra, chard, lettuce, kale, popcorn, beets, carrots, spinach, dill, parsley, celery leaf, basil, parsnip, tomatilla, onions, zucchini, summer squash, patti pan, basil, fennel, artichokes, elderberries, jerusalem artichoke, sunflowers.

The bulk of their produce is marketed through a local co-operative “Quinte Organics” to farm markets in the GTA and the balance is sold at their road side market stand.
