Open Farms is a new event showcasing the diversity of agricultural products in our region.  It offers a fantastic opportunity for everyone, young and old, to enjoy the vibrant countryside of South Eastern Ontario during the height of the harvest season. Take time to listen to the birds, enjoy the fall colours, experience the sights and sounds of the farmyard and really get in touch with the land that feeds us. Discover first-hand what it means to be a farmer. Purchase local food right at farm gate.  Feed your senses during Open Farms and help support your local farms.

Each farm offers unique activities – based around the host farm’s own individual story. Activities during the day may include a farm tour, nature trails, tractor & trailer rides, activities for kids including corn mazes and pumpkin picking, equipment demonstrations, or a mini-farmers market.  Just click on the region you want to visit and check out what’s happening on each farm. Then, print the map and driving directions for those out of the way places, and plan your day.
